Last time I checked, my heart was in place, my brain worked just fine, I was already home and my courage….wait a minute? Where the hell is my courage!?!?!?! I jumped. I spazzed. I didn’t know what to do.
There’s a lot we can learn in movies and I honestly needed to re-watch this classic to see what am I doing wrong that I suddenly lost my courage. But, let me actually tell you exactly what happened.
I’ve started this new thing, its confidential but let’s call it the R.A.C.E., on this R.A.C.E. I’m reaching out to L.A agents to get representation in an unique way. I followed all the steps, and then came step 5. That ugly number. If I saw number 5 on the street I would murder that Son of a BIAcccch!
Instantaneously, I started to sweat, then panic, then hyperventilate…..”I’m trapped” - I said. I saw my nemesis that I haven’t seen in years and his name is F.E.A.R.
I had to call the agencies. It was terrifying. I didn’t want to be a pushy guy, I didn’t know what to say. I sat down and wrote down a script (yes, just like showbizuzzz) I memorized my lines and I prepared for the performance of the night.
Called the first agent and everything went completely fine. Incredible! Astonishing! Unbelievable! I couldn’t believe I didn’t die from a 88-story building.
See, sometimes in life we get injected all this unnecessary fear about things that are merely trivial like making a phone call. That’s when our friend the cowardly lion steps in.
He makes the world a better place by just punching that fear away. Courage is mightier than everything and I had to remind myself that I had my courage all along.
